LEARN THE TIME (FREE TEMPLATE)

UHRZEIT LERNEN (KOSTENLOSE VORLAGE) | TYPE OH

We remember with a smile the time when the "when" question was in vogue: When are we finally there? When will Peter come over to play? When is lunch ready? After all, these are the most important questions of the time. Most of the time it starts from kindergarten, from then on the little ones develop a feeling for time - not quite as we adults feel time, combine it with stress, chase after it, have no time or sometimes forget the time .. No, they Little ones need a rhythm and time plays a big role. With our magnetic letters and magnetic numbers we can perhaps make a small contribution to ensuring that the kids get a better feeling for the time and learn the time.

Sure, the big question is at what age do our children learn the time? Don't let the helicopter parents stress you out too much. Just listen to your little ones and feel their interests, just don't break the fence - at some point everyone will learn - the educators say in the second grade at the latest and then write it down on their curriculum. The fact is, the human body is not only based on the actual time, but also on the internal clock - so just no stress !!!

Let's start learning the time

Enough explanatory speech, we're finally here to learn the time. So go ahead, what's the best way to do that? We say through theory and practice. Practice is as simple as the amen in church and at the same time a great gift tip: the first wristwatch - a small present for you, a big step towards independence for the kids! The theory will of course take some effort on your part, but it's worth it.

How about making a clock together with the little ones? Good idea right? So go for the bacon, but - be patient - as always you know everything and the children don't know anything, so that doesn't necessarily work the first time .. Or just use our free template to learn the time.

At this point in time, anyone can most likely already be able to count the numbers from 1-10 - it is quite possible that more or less can be counted to 100 - at least when playing hide and seek, this is a great tactic to stretch the time. With our template "the time learn "you can explain where the 12 is, why there is always lunch and why, when the big hand has turned a few times, the light should be off by 8 at the latest. Speaking of the large hand, when it comes up, you can mention that it is responsible for the minutes and the small hand takes care of the hours.

Learn the time - 24 or preferably 12 hours

It also makes sense to learn the 12-hour schedule first - they do it in the USA so as not to cause confusion - although am and pm, if you think about it for a moment, are confusing too .. anyhow ... a good exercise, after the position of the numbers and the function of the hands has been clarified, would be to turn the hands to a time and ask what time it is now. Or let the little ones turn the pointer themselves to set the bedtime story time.

As soon as the full hours are clear, the half and quarter hours are added. Now it gets amusing, half an hour can be counted or terms like "quarter to" and "quarter past" can be tried out. At the latest when it becomes clear that the train with grandma always arrives at a quarter past 10 at the main station, this step should be clear ..

And then there are the minutes! 60 of them should be in an hour - in 5 minute steps it is easier and less time consuming to enumerate all the numbers one after the other ..To internalize this amount of information it takes a lot of patience and. watch out .. time. So build time into everyday life in a playful way: When does the S-Bahn arrive? What time do we brush our teeth? It never gets boring.

Learn time for advanced users

For advanced learners of the time, number nerds then come the popular step with the 24 hours, so from now on you don't go to bed at 8 a.m. but at 8 p.m. and dad comes out of the office at 11 p.m. and not at eleven ( hopefully only once). As soon as this is clear and precise, the last step is to name the time intervals between a point in time and a certain time. From now on the cake needs another 35 minutes or you can read it for 30 minutes until 8 p.m. after showering.

So, and if you want to take it even further, you can now switch from analog to digital. The small or large pointer is rarely found on smartphones. Now it is necessary to assign the numbers to the time. 11:45 am is 15 minutes before lunch and at 8:30 pm it could be half an hour too late to turn off the light;).

Oh children, it all sounds easy as pie when written like this - but only practice makes perfect. So get to the numbers and let's learn the time! Have fun!
